Superb afternoon teas, with scones, cakes and pastries from our specialist baker, Sally Lane, are normally served from 3.00 - 5.30pm (Saturday/Sunday from 3.30pm). There is proper bone china and linen in the Restaurant and Sitting-room. The Full Afternoon Tea menu is £12.90. Why not add the indulgence of a glass of our excellent house champagne for £6.00? Or take the Strawberry Afternoon tea, with a bowl of strawberries and Jersey cream for £16.90. For £7.80 you may have tea or coffee with a small selection of cakes (or freshly-baked scones, jam and cream). We have been awarded membership of the prestigious UK Tea Guild and an ‘Award of Excellence’. The Angel is one of only nine hotels outside of London to have achieved this accolade.

We offer a wide range of leaf teas. Our house selection is a fine Assam and Sri Lankan blend. Or, you may choose artisan teas supplied by the Jing Tea Company, a leading UK tea merchant.
